Psychotherapy (also called counselling) is a collaborative process that is always tailored to the individual needs of the client. Generally, I do not try for quick fixes, but support my client’s process as it unfolds. Acceptance and empathy are vital elements of therapy, along with a genuine interest in and respect for clients. I have a deep commitment to being there for my clients.

The Gestalt approach to psychotherapy

In Gestalt therapy we approach client issues and challenges from the perspective of their present life world. The most creative solutions are often found through becoming aware of our needs in relation to the constraints and opportunities of the current situation, and my work with clients is based on identifying and supporting the client’s present-time strengths and resources.

Psychotherapy can be like reaching toward your own image in a calm pool

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”
